At the June 3rd, 2025 City Council meeting, Kim Shed, Librarian at the Grace M. Pickens Public Library, was honored for 25 years of dedicated service to the City of Holdenville.

CITY OF HOLDENVILLE EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH
At the City of Holdenville, we’re proud to shine a spotlight on the hardworking individuals who keep our city running strong. Each month, city employees come together to recognize one of their own—someone who goes above and beyond, shows true commitment to public service, and helps create a positive work environment for all.
What makes this recognition extra special? It’s voted on by fellow employees. That means the honor comes straight from peers who see the effort, attitude, and dedication it takes to make a difference every day.
Each Employee of the Month receives a personalized certificate as a token of appreciation, presented during the first City Council meeting of the month. It’s a chance for our local leaders and community to say thank you and celebrate the outstanding work happening behind the scenes.
Whether it’s a kind word to a coworker, excellent service to residents, or simply showing up with a can-do spirit—these employees help make Holdenville a great place to work and live.
