Since August 2023, the City of Holdenville has made substantial progress by tearing down more than 60 abandoned houses. This effort has removed unsightly and unsafe structures and has opened up new possibilities for development and beautification in these areas.

This project has been funded with the "$2.00 PC Property Cleanup", which has been on the Holdenville Water bill for many years, plus a $500 charge to the owner. (or a lien placed on the property) ​​​

 

These cleanup jobs were bid on and awarded to the following people at City Council Meetings

• Kent Wilbourn 

• MuddWorx  (Anthony Couffer)
