24-Hour Protection in Holdenville: Dedicated Patrol Services

In the City of Holdenville, Patrol Sergeants and Patrol Officers work in coordinated shifts to deliver around-the-clock police services. This continuous coverage ensures that residents, businesses, and visitors receive prompt and professional assistance at any time of day or night.

The primary duties of the patrol officers include:

  • Responding to Calls: Officers address both emergency and non-emergency calls for service, ensuring timely and effective responses.

  • Routine Patrol: They routinely patrol assigned geographical areas, keeping a vigilant watch over community safety.

  • Law Enforcement: Enforcing state and federal laws, the municipal code, as well as city traffic and parking regulations, officers uphold the legal standards that maintain order.

  • Traffic Accident Investigations: Dedicated to public safety, they investigate traffic accidents to determine causes and prevent future incidents.

  • Community Relations: Building strong relationships with residents and businesses, officers foster a sense of trust and cooperation within the community.

  • Business and Residence Checks: Regular checks help deter criminal activity and provide an extra layer of security for both businesses and private homes.

Through these multifaceted responsibilities, the patrol division plays a vital role in ensuring that Holdenville remains a safe and welcoming place to live and work. Their commitment to excellence and proactive approach to community engagement form the backbone of effective law enforcement in our city.

Investigative Services

Committed to Thorough and Professional Investigations

The Holdenville Police Department’s investigative services support the department’s mission by following up on criminal reports, developing leads, gathering evidence, and working to bring cases to a successful resolution. Investigations may include crimes against persons, property crimes, narcotics-related offenses, financial crimes, and other incidents requiring additional follow-up beyond the initial patrol response.

Investigative duties include reviewing reports, conducting interviews, collecting and preserving evidence, identifying suspects, preparing cases for prosecution, and coordinating with prosecutors, victims, witnesses, and partner law enforcement agencies. This process helps ensure that cases are handled professionally, accurately, and in a manner that supports both public safety and the justice system.

The investigative function also works closely with the patrol division. Patrol officers often provide the first response, secure scenes, collect initial information, and identify immediate needs. When additional investigation is required, the case may be assigned for further follow-up to ensure all available information is reviewed and documented.

Through careful case management, strong interagency cooperation, and a commitment to serving the community, the Holdenville Police Department’s investigative services play an important role in protecting residents, holding offenders accountable, and supporting victims of crime.

Ensuring Safety in Our Schools: The Role of the School Resource Officer Unit

The School Resource Officer (SRO) Unit in Holdenville is dedicated to maintaining a secure environment for students, educators, and visitors across all public school campuses. This unit is staffed by one highly trained patrol officer whose responsibilities extend far beyond a typical school security role.

The officer is tasked with patrolling school grounds, investigating any crimes that may occur, and enforcing state and federal laws, as well as the municipal code. Additionally, they manage city traffic and parking regulations around school areas, ensuring that daily routines proceed smoothly and safely. This comprehensive approach helps create a secure atmosphere that supports an optimal learning environment for students.

Beyond the school hours, when classes are not in session, the officer plays a crucial role in supplementing the broader patrol division. This dual function not only maximizes community resources but also reinforces safety measures citywide, demonstrating Holdenville's commitment to public security at all times.

By actively engaging in crime investigation and law enforcement while managing everyday traffic and parking challenges, the School Resource Officer is a vital link between the educational community and local law enforcement. Their presence ensures that both the school environment and the surrounding areas remain safe and well-regulated.

Holdenville's investment in this proactive policing strategy underscores the city's commitment to safeguarding its educational institutions and the broader community. Through dedicated service and a comprehensive approach to law enforcement, the School Resource Officer Unit continues to be a cornerstone in promoting safety and security throughout Holdenville.
